Default post reforms legions stamina issue

So I've noticed my new legions are getting tired just from walking, this is really annoying if I attack an army and have to march for a while and my army is winded or tired by the time they get in formation. Is this right? Will it be patched in 2.6 maybe?

Can't you just speed up the time while they're marching, then hold position until they've regained their stamina? And it does make sense from a realistic perspective.

I don't know what you mean. I've never seen any of my units get tried just from marching.

I could speed up the time then rest but I lose a lot of time that way, and I like to play with an hour time limit. Maybe it was a one time glitch or something. I know if they march in testudo they get tired but I never thought they would just marching in regular formation.

All units - all factions get tired whilst marching. Lighter Infantry suffer less and Cavalry the least. The AI is particularly bad at managing this and the player can exploit that. Going uphill is particularly tiring.

March and then rest and your Fresh->Winded->Tired->Exhausted will go back the other way. It's always been like this, there is no patch, units have different and realistic (in most cases) settings. Subjectively I would suggest that resting sooner is better, for the 'points' rack up and a unit that is exhausted and has fought lots will take a long time to recover. Guard mode and resting units, as well as using reserve fresh units are all tactics the player should use.

This is a particular reason that it's more of a challenge to continue to use the 45min timer - for otherwise the player can always wait until his troops are fresh again - and the AI won't.

PS - If by 'post reform legions' you mean either I Minervia or I Adiutrix, then yes, they are the up-armoured (manica) equipped troops and they will tire fastest - as intended.

ty for clearing this up for me, I guess I never really noticed. They were marching up hill and that's probably what made me notice
