Failed to launch app (steam)

Whenever i try to launch medieval 2 total war it says it could not connect to update server or failed to launch app running in background.

Go to your taskmanager (ctrl alt del), processes, select 'Launcher.exe' and end the process.

I did that but for some reason it keeps trying to launch itself twice.But when it goes normally nothing happends.

verify the files through steam sounds like something is messed up in the configuration or .exe file

EDIT:Ok so i verified 2 files failed to validate on medieval 2 total war and kingdoms.Same failed to run due to app running
And then it keeps trying to run but then says could not connect to update server.

so your problem is with medieval thought so .. if your files don't validate the only way i know to fix it on stam is a re install... you could copy and paste your mods outside steam in order to make it take less time but i a afraid a reinstal of med 2 my be necessary

Alright i just had to uninstall everything and steam is giving me problems will come back when fixed
