Anyone found their folder icons being mysteriously changed?
Hi guys. the strangest thing just happened. I just installed the newest nvidia drivers (91.47), rebooted, and found that my folder icons have been changed. Instead of the normal, medium sized WinXP folder icons the new ones are big, ugly Windows 95/98 style ones. I made no other changes to my computer, and neither the driver release notes nor any of the forums have said anything about this. It may or may not be related, but some time ago my recycle bin image was also changed (though it never bothered me). I've checked the computer with the latest AVG anti-virus and Lavasoft ad-aware programs and there doesn't seem to be any malicious software involved. Very strange...

Try changing your resolution back to whatever you had before you installed the video driver.

Thanks, but unfortunately it didn't work. It's not just that the folder icon is bigger-looking, it's a different type of icon: the default WinXP is like a partially-opened folder viewed from the side, whereas this new one is a big fat 2D image.
