New game by the makers of War of the Roses: War of the Vikings

This has been speculated to be the teaser trailer.

It looks like it could be Celtic or Norse themed... it'll be most likely Norse, since that's the more commercial alternative, though the War of the Roses isn't really a famous conflict outside of England.

They announced the game. War of the Vikings.
I hope it isn't just War of the Roses with a Viking skin. I enjoyed War of the Roses but Vikings deserve some extra special attention.

I really liked WotR and I'm even more interested in the Dark Ages so I'll be getting this for sure too!

It's Anglo-Saxon vs Vikings so it should be great.
I love both Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.

Fatshark have really impressed me with War of the Roses. I loved that they chose a war that isn't particularly commercially popular and it made it even better since it's a war that was focused around where I live.
Now they're focusing on another conflict that happened around where I live and in places I've been to.

I'd be surprised if they didn't include a Lindisfarne map and a Jorvik map.

I like the looting idea. Sounds awesome.

The cavalry idea is a bit weird. No cavalry is understandable for the vikings but if the game is just vikings vs vikings its ok but obviously it wont be. Or will it? If the Franks or Saxons are the other factions then why cant they have horse units?

I''m confident in saying the military tactics of the Saxons were very similar to the Vikings, the Saxons didn't really use horses either. The Franks did but I'm not even sure if they are in the game.

Horses were mostly used to transport infantry right? Not Cav like in WOTR
