The remastered and/or remade version of "Forever" by Jeff van Dyke and his wife. Everyone got wet over the little piano reference in the very first teaser, and I think it should make a full comeback for nostalgic purposes.
I am appalled it has not been released by CA.

As to Forever, YES PLEASE. Spare no expense, I want it bad!
Edit: To be clear, I know they haven't actually made a new version... But I want some kind of "Forever" in the game so bad

Today's footage has restored my faith in the game and then some. Thought everything looked excellent and much more polished than anything we'd seen before.

I doubt many people bothered with the credits and heard this. I only heard the other song on Med 2 by accident and then went looking for the Rome one.
Maybe Beddow has a missus who will belt out a tune...

If there is something worth starting a petition tis this::: BRING BACK SOME ICONIC MUSIC FROM ROME 1 and thus LINK ROME 1 to ROME 2.

The song is great, the vocals are terrible. I wouldn't mind the song not being included altogether if it means no vocals.

There is a slightly different version without vocals called "Rome Total War" which was used as the title menu music, it is also my favorite and I think the real inspiration for the end of the TWR2 teaser

Why not gather people & put it on Jeff's blog or his facebook? I think he's currently busy working on other games though.
Also, I was expecting a song at the credits for R2 that is just as good or surpasses Forever, best if made & sang by Mr. & Mrs. van Dyck
Now, I'm just curious, what will they put for the credits. Since I've heard Beddow is doing music for R2, anything near the quality of the first Shogun Total War credit song would be enough for me.

i dont think so,its not mainstream enough, for us strategy fans it is GOTY and probably GOAT
its sad that strategy games do not get more attention than fps or rpgs
on topic: yea that song shoud be in mixed with some old screens from rome1 the first time we play rome2
