Unfortunately it looks like he is.

Should be a xiphos but the circular hilt looks like a gladius hilt.

Kind of reminds me of that "Spartan Officer's Sword" sold at sword shops. It's also seen in ancient era mods for M&B.

Agreed. Probably has something to do with how the faces are rendered.

So,after the dark brown and yellow tunics and cloaks for the Spartans we also see now black tunics with orange lines for the Spartans.I guess those are their three colours in Rome 2,so there will be no proper red tunics for them.Very disappointing.

The rest pictures look good.Especially the elephants are awesome.

I believe Jack already explained a while ago that factions had around 3 or so different colors. The overall color of a unit will still be the faction color, though.

What's with this Spartan crimson cloak craze? Sure, it was "documented" but I seriously doubt it was as prominent as people think it was.
