Icon5 Your opinion of the UI

What does everyone think of the UI? For me I feel that while the more modern sleek design isn't the right choice, as beautiful as the campaign map is along with the battle map it seems to take away from the immersion from the game a little bit. The best choice in my opinion would have been to have gone for the same style as Rome 1 with a bit more polish and depending on the civilisation you are playing as the style of the UI would accommodate that. It's a bit nit picky but considering the UI will be present at almost every moment I think it is still an important subject of the game.

Hopefully there will be a chance that if / when modding tools are released some one will change it.

Personally, I actually like the UI, it's clean and clear, perhaps it would give a more historical feeling if they would have used another UI, but it's fine by me

I really like it, but I can see why some might feel like it breaks immersion.

Looks fine to me. I think CA really did a great job with the Shogun 2 UI, but then there was a more homogeneous culture in that game and it was rather meaty at times.

The battle UI seems too big, and the campaign UI seems confusing and not as clean as Shogun 2, but I will get used to it.

I like the new UI. It does look clean. I did really like the old UIs and their stylization. But the clean looks good too.

How is the UI big? It is smaller than RTW or M2TW. In fact I think its smaller than all TW UI's except TWS2.

It's good as done. No problem with it and don't see the reason why they can change in the future after release.

Its an accurate portrayal of the Ancient world to me as I've read so much historical fiction I think authors would like to describe the kind of UI that Rome 2 has.

Are you referring to the unit cards? I think they are absolutely fine, I'm just referring to how the UI is styled .

I wouldn't call it loud so to speak, just curious as to what other people's opinions are on the UI.

Oh no, not the unit cards, I mean the Campagin UI. The Unit cards are fine by me but I think they can be modded.

I like it. Minimal yet functional, exactly what a good user interface should be.

The unit cards, on the other hand ...

Shogun2 UI was sexy and load but was also very slow to navigate after a time.I think a UI's job is not to be noticed much.

Seems alright, watching the 30min long tutorial vid and i got used to it pretty quickly!

Only gripe was the lack of space allowed for tech. Only really showed the next stage
