Want to increase unit ammunition

Hello, I was trying to increase Kisho ninja ammunition a bit but im doing something wrong.

So what I did is create a new mod using PFM.
I extracted the unit_stats_land file from data.pack and added it to my mod.
Then I changed the values of ammunition for all kisho ninja units in my mod(From 11 to 20).
Finally I added the mod in my Shogun 2 data directory.

But it does not seems to work, game runs ok but nothing has changed.
I tried different pack types, with movie it did change it but it broke something, every unit couldnt use the loose formation and kisho ninjas couldnt do ranged attacks because somehow their range was 0 but it should be 50...
