What antivirus do you use?

I'm considering Avira, because I've heard Avast can tax the system a bit more. I suppose Avira coupled with malbytes malware should be ok. Any recommendations?

And really just for general computer care what programs do you use and why?

Right now I only have CC cleaner, IObit advanced system care and Game Booster and I think I will install malbytes malware.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I also have a free copy of Malwarebytes in case something comes up fishy like what did about eight months ago.

I've used both.
Advanced system Care, when money got tight, I found I could get get about as close doing it myself.
I still use the free version of Game Booster.

I just use security essentials, its a very good free anti virus. regarding those other apps, I dont see the point, I never used advanced system care

for me its simple, the only thing that is running when Im gaming is MSE and my mounting app, thats it.

If Im going to listen to music I hook up my other notebook on the tv or if I want good sound I use my headphones

therefore I dont see the reason to run those optmizers, which the only one that I install is ccleaner to keep windows more tidy, to which I also regularly format usually at 3-4 months period

Microsoft Security Esssentials + Malwarebytes.

MSE provides free, light weight real time protection (light weight in system resources) and Malwarebytes is a very good (free, though you can purchase a 'full' version), lightweight scanner.

Microsoft's System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection. No others can make AV as good as Microsoft.
