Default No Reports at Start of Turn

So my friend and I are running a hotseat grand campaign locally with one pc and I am Portugal and they are Spain. Thing is I almost never get my reports at the start of my turn while Spain always gets theirs. If anyone knows what I can do so that both players can receive their turn reports I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance!

Save the file when it is your turn then reload your save, you will need to put a password on your faction though.
    Will and act until victory

Okay so save the file at like the start of my turn when I do not get the reports and then reload? Will that give me the reports for that turn or is that to fix it for the next turn?
I truly am thankful someone took the time to answer, I just want to make sure I understand and do it right.
Also how do I put a password on my faction? My friend and I are just sharing one keyboard so I didn't think about a password until you just mentioned it.

The best way is to try it and find out. You might want to make a backup of your save file if you are worried about accidentally overwriting something and being unable to revert back. A good way to test hotseat settings is to start a campaign specifically for that puropse. You can play a few turns to see how the game behaves and not mess up anything important.

One of your medieval2.preferences.cfg hotset settings should read 'scroll = 1'. This gives you a login screen at the start of each player's turn. At the beginning of your very first turn, there is the option to set a password here. If you are going to change a lot of hotseat settings, you might want to consider starting over with a fresh game. There is a lot of information on this site about configuring your preferences file for hotseat campaigns and explanations of what the various option do.
The doctor will siege you now.
