Game won't start a second time

Hey all, I have a very weird bug/error. When I start the game, it runs fine. However when I exit the game, then start it again the game crashes immediatly before getting into the loading screen, and I get a microsoft error message. I have to reset my notebook for the game to start again, which is rather annoying.
I've tried reinstalling the game dozens of times now (with BI, without BI, without 1.6 patch, with 1.6 patch, with RTR PE, without RTR PE etc...), but it doesn't fix the problem. Weirdest is, I didn't have this problem at all before several weeks ago. It seems to have started after I installed a mod called Invasio Barbarorum-Flagellum Dei and Rios 463 IBFD mod, although I'm not at all sure if that has anything to do with it, since I long since uninstalled it and the error is still there.

Hope anyone can help me out.

Personally I would just reinstall the game, make sure all files are gone, reinstall it and play Vanilla for a bit until you are sure it works, then install mods and patches...
