    Default Portuguese translation please

Hello everyone, I would like to say that I am extremely sad about the CA, because she does not see his Lusophone community.
I come to beg to translate Rome Total War II to Portuguese.
Have a little respect for us. I learned French to play your games. Please CA.

It would be nice to have a lot of different languages. If you think back a little while, James Russell said that Roman 2 has more words in the scripts than the whole Lords of the Rings trilogy books. That's a lot to translate and sadly, CA can not do too many without taking away resources from somewhere else.

Maybe after release CA will work on translations but I don't know. If you can speak English already, you're ok, dude
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:

as we said before Turkey far bigger market. it doesn't matter "how popular your language" but matters "how many copy they can sell"

Portuguese is actualy amoung the most wildly spoken languages in the world. And the language with more speakers in the whole American continent. Thats right it isnt English or even spanish. It probably has something to do with Brazil ocupying half of the south america, and have a greater population as well.

You realy want to compare? to somali or Greek or turkish for that matter? Its indiferent to me, as i speak a few diferent languages, but i guess having a translation to a whole variety of them would be nice. In the Portuguese case i know for certain, sega CA. would gain a much wider audience in south america, specialy in Brazil. Wich imo its a market for video games with alot of potencial. Take a look at World of warcraft case for example. I cant say however, if the African portuguese speaking countries has a biger potencial for Video gaming market though. I knwo theres people who play them, but it might not be as much. And about Timor in east Asia i have no ideia. The realities i know better, are Portugal, Brazil, Cabo verde and Angola.

For people who speak Spanish/Portuguese the French language makes much more sens. See: masculine/feminine words, the use of verbs to describe who is involved, the positioning of the adjective after the topic.

Give this guy some credit. He learned a language to play TW. Would you do the same?
Im portuguese, i learned and i can speak all of those languages you mentioned. And i tell you, it realy doesnt make any sense at all. They are very diferent languages. They might share the same comon matrix, that is Latin, but thats it.

When we are talking about europe, you will find that is one of those places in the world, where a cheer number of cultures, nations and languages is imense.

    Pois devia!
He should have indeed. Not only its much easier to learn then French, todays day its much more vital. If it was 30 years ago or so French would have been more important i guess. As my Parents and their generation they all learned french as primary foreign language.

In Civ V there was no Swedish civilization nor anyone speaking Swedish. It had a DLC with Denmark and a king speaking some sentences in Danish.
I guess you didnt keep up with the expantions...

What? how does 204 million speakers equal more than "the whole American continent."?

Also, apart from Portugal itself countries that speak Portuguese are poor markets for games.

English ! I knew that these kind of topics would come after the Turkish language package. Tons of Portugese and Greek people are already crying for a language package in their native tongue. Ah well..

Haven't seen a single Greek argue for it, unless we're not talking about this forum.
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."
~General Pershing, report to Washington, 26 July 1917
