Please check your PM folder-Garb.
I see no reason why they wouldn't offer some sort of in-game descriptions of units, similar to previous games or even Shogun 2's encyclopedia archive.
I hope that this time around they talk a bit more about the history behind the unit, not just what you'd use the unit for in battle which is pretty much all Shogun 2's descriptions were.
I was lucky enough to play the battle of the nile, and I remmember looking for the little encyclopedia page to pop up. At least for that historical battle demo, the feature has been removed.
No description? :/
Please check your PM folder-Garb.
Did you pause the game? Right clicking for a description only works when paused in a battle if I recall.
Yeah, it only works when you paused the game.
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:

Wow, if this feature is gone then I will really consider wether I buy the game or not. The unrealistical and unhistorical cartoons on the units cards nearly killed it for me, but without descriptions...? I cannot imagine CA takes simplification so far.
I'm really worried about this: this could be another immersion-breaking lack of the game.
I cannot imagine a total war without the "encyclopedia" or menu that have descriptions for units, buildings, factions, agents and so on.
Can we have some official words about it, please?
