Default What about seleucids? Will they be die hard though guys or a weak kingdom?

Hello everyone. It was/is a question for me that how powerful will be the seleucids in the single player campaign?will we have a strong die hard empire who make our Egypt,Parthia,Pontus or even Hellens Campaigns challenging or only a weak kingdom just like rome1?I think all of you guys (just like me) want them to be a real challenging though guy! Because they were one of the most important powers of that period. So what about them?I think no body knows even a bit about them! Any information about them released yet and about their terms in the campaign map?

it should differ from campaign to campaign one time their clients will overrun them the next time they might stay loyal

Hopefully not too strong, they did end up getting pwned by the Parthians and the Romans in the 1st century BC so early game for Rome 2

Yeh, for all I know Parthians rode over them while sitting backwards on a horse. They were crap really. CA shouldn't spend time making them playable. They shouldn't be playable, EVER!

Parthians were vassals of the Seleucids. So go on and pay your taxes.

Yeah? For like how long? There's a theory that Macedonians were so fed up with Seleucus that Alexander started a whole campaign, just to find a far-far away place to dump him. They initially wanted to leave him in India but then realised it'd be like taking a piss, so left him in the Persian domain instead.

The Seleucids will control the province of Syria and a few other regions in other provinces. The rest of the empire is made up of various client states. I think the Seleucids have six client states and each of them more or less controls a whole province. This would give the Selucid faction a huge income buff because the vassals gives it a percentage of their incomes, so it should be quite a fomidable foe or ally. Its client states will be weaker though because of this and they are spread out all over the place.

Bottom line is, the Seleucid Empire will be stong, but a war on multiple fronts will be the end of it because of the many client states, IMO.

    Pretty much this...

IMO playing as Seleucids would be real challenging campaign experience for especially veteran TW players at higher difficulty settings. As AI faction you never know that what's going to be happen. They may rise a colossal power equal to Persian Empire or fall apart in 10-15 turns and become a fairy tale.

They are never mentioned in history because school teaches selective history. They cherry pick nothing more.

Because of Selective history in schools did you learn about the Ummayads, Abbassids, Mamluks, Aztecs, Incans, Seljuks, Mughal, Mayans and the Sassanids.
