Facial hair, beards... Again...

Few months ago Jack Lusted said that Hellenistic faction will get beards. That was pre-alpha. Now is only 1 month to release but beards didn't added. In screens and videos Hellenistic factions don't have beards. Only Spartans have beards, but not various - only one beard style without mustaches. In campaign map screen we see Hellenistic soldiers without beards (only Spartans have). It is the final game, because WIll said:

Carthiaginians soldiers and leaders (let's play) don't have beards too. They looks like clean shaved Ceasarian Romans.

Germans have varoius beards, mustaches - long, short, brown, black, blond etc. Hellenistic faces are the same as Romans. I see clean shaved 2-3 faces.

How many times has it to be repeated?
The version used to show the demos/lets plays/etc is not the most current version. Rome II is not an open source project with nightly builds. Personally, I assume that the Nile version is used for the campaign map LPs too. Which means, the assets are probably multiple months old.

After Alexander III. it was common for Greeks and Macedons (who were Greeks) to go without beards. Of course beards were still used, but not as a general mode. That's were the Hellenistic motto stems from " a beard and an old cloak alone do not make a philosopher", because most philosophers still wore beards regularly in difference to the ususal population. Maybe in the Seleucid empire beards were more common, I don't know. For Macedon and the other Greeks the frequent use of beards would be a bad thing. The Spartans kept their ugly beards as a sign of traditionalism, but who cares for Sparta?
