A little musical based experiment

Please feel free to move this if i made a boo boo with the placement of this thread, it merely seems logical enough for it here though.

I was having a conversation with Atheist Peace the other day and he exclaimed his shock at the fact i liked a certain band. This got me thinking, what do people actually think i listen to judging on my character they have seen here at the TWC.

Im not exactly a lurker and a fair few of you have heard of me before, perhaps even debated with me. Some precious golden stars of you have even given me rep for my mundane ramblings.

So based on what you have seen of me and how you judge my character, What sort of music do you think i like listening to?

You can name bands to make it specific or Genres if your pressed for time. If any of you bother to humour me and play along ill make a list of my ten favourite bands to see who judged me correctly.


So! let the degredation of my character through indirect and snide comments about my musical taste begin!

Good question, and an intersting idea, but unfortunately I can't say I know you well enough to make that judgement.

All i can do is too hazard a completely random guess, so i'll say...........N'Sync?

With a name like 'rez' I would expect you listen to Cannibal Corpse when you're depressed and Back Street Boys when you're getting ready for a date.

Thoroughly confused so far my boys, not anywhere near just yet.

Lets have some more guesses people, SOME of you know who i am!

Your name gives no clue as to your music taste. I think Stalins ghost might be on the right track when he said you listened to UK new pop wave stuff, so i'm going to go out on a limb and name some names..... Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Futureheards, Maximo park?

Hmmm. It's hard to say really. I'd say your probably favourable towards most of the UK new-wave scene...but maybe a little more cultured than that...probably willing to experiament with lesser known bands. I cant pinpoint the exact bands though.

See its not hard to guess my tastes. Since I put mine on a loudspeaker in this forum

I'm thinking more heavy music, maybe Iron Maiden, Slayer (ugh), and.........yeah. that stuff.

sorry mate no clue. Id say more of the rock stuff and considering its with AP I guess Anti-Flag, Bad Religion and that sort...

Hmm, wild guesses:

Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Turbonegro.

Ah screw it, no one else wants to guess.

Ok so heres a list of ten bands i love and respect. Not in any kind of order mind you.

2. Weezer
3. System of a Down
4. Black Flag
5. Comeback Kid
6. Alkaline Trio
7. The Beastie Boys
8. The Dillinger Escape Plan
9. Less than Jake
10. The Misfits

Well thats ten out of a fair few more i could put in. I left out the classical music i occasionally listen to because the names always evade me.

I hate Indie and new wave British music, the old heavy stuff like Iron maiden has no substance and therefore i treat it as a joke.

This of course excludes Black sabbath who are an incredible band that should be in the list.

Rage against the machine was the only band named that i really like.


I guess we all learned that appearances really are decieving eh?
