There might be seasons after all.

Or at least just Summer and Winter *which is fair enough IMO*

So i watched AngryJoe's video *which is the same video showed at E3 and Rezzed* and the Suebi region and it surroundings don't have any snow. Then i watched CA's Suebi campaign video and there is snow on the map. Some areas like the Cimbri starting point are completely covered in snow.

I am happy to say that Summer and Winter will appear on the campaign map. But then again, i am not sure since Angry Joe's video is from E3 and that was quite some time ago, so it's difficult to tell if the map will have 2 seasons or CA changed the outlook of the campaign map.

At least i feel a bit more hopeful now that at least 2 seasons will be on the campaign map. *Which makes possibilites for turn modding highly possible!*

Hopefully CA will explain this soon.

Yeah, none of the new changes bother me but the season change does. I am at least hoping this can be modded.

Feels odd that CA would Invest resources in making snow textures that they did not intend to use. Im pretty sure they agreed upon campaign map seasons and their functions before they started working on the visuals. But then again, this speculation leads nowhere.

We will have all 4 seasons. This has always been the case.

This has been confirmed long ago, they just said they were not sure how they were going to do it.

It hasn't been confirmed to my knowledge but they did say they were going to try and get it in somehow. Probably 1 year = 1 season. If that's the case (with 4 seasons) then I'll be happy, not bothered that the winter->spring change will only represent 3 months.

Would be a shame to lose the seasonal campaign map after S2 was so pretty and added that tactical side to planning an assault around winter attrition.
