Ok. We know roman and cartaginian families ... What are your speculations about the other faction families in particular barbarian ones?

Teutons really need to be in the game.
Spartacus not funny :p
I dont think they will have families... i think you can choose 3 different tribes?!? Think i heard something like this.
I believe only Carthage an Rome are getting families w/ a complete political system. Other factions will probably just get some tribal council that gives you missions n.
If I am not wrong I have heard that all factions will have a possible internal realm divide so opposing factions like families , might them be a kingdom , a republic , a dictature or the like ...

CA should really give some information about this, soon
it also seems logic to me to have at least a minimum of two factions for eeach playable faction , if all are available since beginning and not just a after Rome unlock then they will probably have some kind of innerstruggle after a while perhaps .

I fear CA not answering, as to what internat politics other factions have, does mean they have practically none.
Why wouldn't Athens have the famed counsil?
Why wouldn't Sparta have the 2 Kings and counsil of elders?
Why wouldn't Suebi, and other Barbarians, have some family members (working with or against you) in the Tribe?
For me it would be really disappointing, if they only apply 'the internal polictics system' to Rome and Carthage. IF you got it; aply it to all playable factions at least!
I think that for tribes the "political aspect" is the one with the other tribes of your cultural group, so if you are a german you have to deal with other tribes, to unite the tribes, and to mantain united your people. Probably when this union is done, is very fragile
The families are not the political system! They will propably work like the clans in shogun 2. They give you a few boni (and a malus in rome 2), but don't change much on the gameplay. The unitrooster is propably the same like all the other clans/roman factions.
Entirely diffrent is how the political system will work and CA didn't reveal much about this, just that you can choose generals from the Senate and that there is some kind of interaction with them. So if i play an family member of the julii i can choose to make an Aemilii one of my Generals. CA said they can revolt, so i might give them not enough power or fancy position, eventually even let him marry in my family, like in Shogun 2. This is how i understand it and if it works similar like Shogun two i can even made a man with a diffrent family name my familly leader even if my housename remains julii.

Proud to be a real Prussian.
Bloody hell didn't the CA guy say in the most recent video that only Rome and Carthage have these family systems?!
no families, confirmed a long time ago. They do have politics and have a council or something like that. Of course it is quite old info from a German article so it might have changed though I rather doubt it. We haven't had any information about Greek or Eastern politics right?
