modding starting units
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to mod the units every faction starts with. For instance, I would like to replace the ashigaru units with my own peasants.
In the startpos.esf I've noticed under the faction array --> army array --> army --> units array for each unit there is "land_record_key" and "unit_record_key". Can I just change those and make it work?

Yes, but don't expect their statistics to be correct.

to expain, I've given a few regions to other clans i.e. i've given awa to chosokabe from miyoshi and the town belongs to chosokabe now BUT the army inside the castle still belongs to miyoshi, have you managed to change that kind of ownership;

In the startpos.esf under the faction array --> army array --> army --> units array for each unit there is "land_record_key" and "unit_record_key". For starters all you have to do is change these two keys to the new unit. I've run into a few problems myself, but so far it still seems to work well enough
