If the AI is really that bad at release I guess we'll probably feel like this

use the youtube button - in the advanced post settings and paste just the part of the link after the "v=". alternatively if you don't want to go advanced, type and paste the part of the link there.

edit:
I will be very disappointed if there are no siege ladders.
Do u think roman factions/famillies will start civil war if they are not played by player? That thing never happened to me in RTW.
It is heavily implied if your familiy gets too strong or too weak then a civil war will happen
Well, that doesn't sound too good.
Gamestar isn't very reliable either: until Empire they never really critisized the AI, and gave Empire a 93% score. Ofc they took some heavy criticism for this and since that they jump at CA's AI at every chance.
If CA just gave us an unscripted demo battle we could see for ourselves (best would be a siege battle since there it struggles most). It can't be that time consuming. I really understand why people think CA has to hide something. Nobody expects a godlike AI, but I want proof that the AI is atleast functional. I mean, in the Let's Play #1, a scripted historical battle, it looked like there wasn't even an AI at all.
Be it the campaign "Let's Play", the Rally Point about AI, I just see big talking, but no actual demonstration.

"No skill trees for generals or agents there is only a list which skills they already have, you have to look into the encyclopedia if you want to know which skills unlock other skills."
"Every agent can now kill or bribe. (no assassination videos)"
That's kind of disappointing I liked those features, agent cutscenes were pretty awesome in Shogun 2 as well as character skill tree.
"Your majesty will faster see Vysla streaming backwards than lithuanians and their etmon routing"
Why can't we just have the system from Rome and Medieval 2 back? Where you generals evolved based on what they did. If they fought battles they became better warriors. They became better settlement managers if you left them in charge. If you trained them at an academy they would come of age with better stats. Some, however, would be useless, and come of age as a gibbering, moronic, alcoholic, flaccid and possessed mess. Everything is just so... ordered and structured now, I don't like it.
I just kind of liked that you could hire a agent and know that you can make him specialist in certain area no matter what he does. Like if you had a monk that was always inspiring armies you could make him good at character conversion just in case you need to convert somebody real quick. Also characters had traits like in previous titles, and that was nice combination in my opinion. Either way it's not really big of the deal, I liked previous system too.
However I am going to miss cutscenes (if this info is true), these were pretty diverse and original in Shogun 2.

from that it sounds like they've gone back the old trait system, which I preferred to picking my own.
No you can still choose which skills you want, but they are no longer portrayed as a skill-treefrom that it sounds like they've gone back the old trait system, which I preferred to picking my own.

Anyone have the link to the pictures I can't seem to see any in OP's post? Might be blind though, any help appreciated.
Sorry to hear about the AI but I never did expect amazing AI to begin with.
Edit: Nevermind saw the mod post now. I'll have to try to look them up myself.

He who fears being conquered is sure of defeat - Napoleon Bonaparte
I can confirm that cutscenes won't return for agents. I was at rezzed and they said so there.
Cutscenes are the same as battle speeches though, they are nice for the first few but then once you've seen them all once or twice you just skip them. So although they are are fun feature, they're a bit of a waste of resources.
They hired Mark Strong to voice consul, which as far as I understand will only be present in prologue. SEGA has enough resources to hire famous actor for couple of minutes of voice acting, I am sure they have enough resources to create couple of cutscenes. I am not going to rage on CA for this but it was nice tradition since Shogun 1 and it's shame to see it go.

Second that either but speaking about resources this is not true. Rome has got a bigger budget they need for the campaign and lots of faction modelling and more combat scenes however I don't think they could have effort to spend even more money on speeches for 117 factions in different accents like Rome 1 I am sad as well but Sega has no good financial base the game market is weak and currently rome seems to be the most expensive project.
