As a Redskins fans, I won't be like the Cowboys and say "We're going all the way!" like they do every year. Instead, I'm going to be more realistic in saying that there's a good chance they repeat in the NFC East this year, but not like they did last season.

Their biggest test is going to come from the Giants, who played the Redskins close in both games last season, and it'll probably be neck and neck down the stretch. Dallas is its usual over-hyped self, claiming they've got talent, but all they ever prove is that they start celebrating before the season's over and wonder why it is they're sitting at home watching the playoffs, instead of actually playing in them. Won't expect too much from the Eagles, rebuilding in their first season under Chip Kelly, although if the team takes to his system, they could be showing signs of improvement before everything's said and done.

It'll be tougher to repeat this year, because by winning the East last season, they painted by the biggest target on their backs for this season. Teams will know what to expect from the offense, meaning the Shanahans are going to have to innovate if they want to get things done. The defense will also have to step up its game in the secondary, they can't expect to win games if they keep getting burned like they did a year ago, but maybe...just maybe, some of the rookies (Amerson, Thomas, Rambo) can show us exactly WHY we drafted them with turnovers that determine wins and losses.

Overall, the Redskins have got the tools to compete. They just have to go out there and prove 2012 wasn't a fluke.

Predicted record: 10-6 or 9-7

Spinning the football as a TD celebration is now a 15 yard penalty (it's included in the celebration rule that outlaws spiking the ball, etc). Thanks NFL! There's just nothing worse than spinning the football on the ground just before we go to another goddamn commercial and I'm glad we can get this horrible thing out of the noble game of football.
