Did anyone else see the crown on the top of the Roman Army? Is that the faction leader?

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ- come and take them!
I think it is just the symbol of that specific Roman legion. As shown in a video from rezzed or E3 we can now give the legions symbols. If you look at the different armies and fleets (which could be armies as well, since armies no longer need to be transported via fleets) you see they all have different symbols. But then again you could be right and I could be wrong. We will find out 3rd september.![]()
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ- come and take them!
Looks very good!
I guess the red skull above an army is attrition?
The only problem is the shield is totally wrong
Empire II and Medieval III pls
no offense but it's a rarther pointless image, I'd rather see one up close battle, not ones from the highest possible camera position,

FOTS, while a pretty awesome game, the map is too greyscale for my eyes.

NTW was so grey and dull, i had the impression to fight in a foggy fall morning in northern France for the whole game in any area.
The map of FOTS was great, but i really like this one more. It fits with my vision of the area and the period.

That was a glorious screenshot, to say the least.
I do not like this campaign map compared to Shogun 2 FOTS, you guys made a big step back compared with FOTS campaign map
while the map from FOTS looks gorgeous and very smooth in Rome 2 landscape looks ragged, angular with those little trees very large and ugly
i don't understand why did you increase the scale for landscape in this campaign map. You should keep the same scale from FOTS, especially for the trees
it looks totally unreal that the city have a smaller scale for the trees, and outside the cities, a huge one, trees are larger in size than the walls of the cities!
also the texture of the water
how beautiful looks in FOTS and how comic shows in ROME2, bring a little with my signature...not to mention how bad cliffs from Rome2 looks, compared with those from FOTS...
also do not understand what the problem with this agent. I saw him with other occasion and in all pictures, his animation depicts him as if it had stabbed in the back with a knife
and why this Dacian unit looks so Galic?
on Trajan's Column, there are not one single dacian warrior beardless, probably not their womens nor their childrenand yet you depict them without. I think it is harder to carve a man with a beard and lose more time to do it, than to do him without beard and so I do not think the Romans were wasting time to make all dacians with beards
Here color version of Trajan Column
I hope all this is because the game is not yet ready !
I much rather prefer Default UI cards made in roman frescoes style, then those ones
Wow. That was an epic rage post.
You do realize that TWR2 appears to be zoomed in closer than in FOTS. As for colors you have to remember that FOTS is stormy and gloomy. Just look at the grey sky in those screenshots. There are greater bloom effects and brighter colors because the map is most likely set in a sunny/bright day. Not a stormy one. I'm not denying that the map has problems, though. A bit of rescaling and the removal of those cliffs on the shore would make the map look a lot better in my opinion.
I would like to point out that Trajans column should not be relied upon for historical authenticity as it is an artists representation. Its also part Roman propaganda.
