So armies and fleets can't physically occupy cities? Or is it shown when they are standing just outside the city somehow?

Actually is "How dare you question something the answer of which was visible in the last video."
But don't let common sense and logic prevent your crusade.

Nothing to do with the actual question asked there Plato, more to do with the eternal fanboyism on this site.

Yes there is often a crushing tide of fanboyism in this forum. But the question I asked (answered by Jack L. btw) is 100% legit, when there over a dozen stacks depicted in the foreground of the shot and none appear to be in a city?

Yes, the eternal fanboyism that a few good men like you shall fight in the boards, shall fight in the threads, in the PMs and game reviews! You shall never surrender to the ridiculous notion that the creator of the game knows the game they want to make.

The question is legit iff you have taken a leave of logic and haven't watched the last Rally point with the Suebi spoiler.

Asking questions is perfectly fine. However, asking the same questions after they have already been answered expecting a different response is madness. Huberto's question was a good one, though.

Yes they can occupy cities. You can see armies of Bityhnia and Sardes in their cities.

Greece has a traffic jam of armies in the screencshot
Quem faz injúria vil e sem razão,Com forças e poder em que está posto,Não vence; que a vitória verdadeira É saber ter justiça nua e inteira-He who, solely to oppress,Employs or martial force, or power, achieves No victory; but a true victory Is gained, when justice triumphs and prevails.

I know many people didn't like the sea, but i find it beautifull in this screen. Very mediterranean like ! (maybe it lack a deep blue tone for the high sea but it's a minor detail)

Seems like the banners shows the status of the army. In Peloponnese we can see an army that is fortified, with a tower on its banner. We've got several armies with a pirate symbol, which might mean that they are disrupting trade. And also armies that are hiding or preparing an ambush seems to have an eye symbol.

Wow. Love to see all those large stack land/sea units on the map. One of the best screenshots so far.

Very detailed indeed. I especially loved the part where you converted Euboia from a God damned island to a part of Attica. (I even read one guy writing about a nonexistent issue concerning trees in a photo where the main problem is that one of the biggest Greek islands is no more an island)

It's something we knew since the first campaign map reveal many weeks ago though. Probably the reason why nobody reacted about that this time...

Anyway, i wonder what are the signs on the army's banner ? (skull and bones, tower, horse etc) They represent army stances maybe ? (Raiding, Defensive, Forced march, Ambush etc ?)

Still loading... Seriously guys, a 470 MB screenshot?

Maybe it's a test - if your laptop can open the screenshot without becoming uncomfortably hot, you can play Rome 2 at medium settings.

Thanks a lot, the screenshot is simply gorgeous. Unfortunately, my fear about "lacking of space" to maneuver for armies is getting higher after that... I can just see the pattern "city-road-army /army-road-city" ... mabye my fault
