I think the red skull probaly does mean attrition but I think it would be fantastic if it meant this army will fight to the death and not flee....

If Rome 2 have a supply system it could happen (Does it have one ?).
Your nation have X number of supply and you lose some of it (region get pillage, a supply building got sabotage etc).
You now have too many troops for the supply capacity of your nation.
You can either use the population supplies (Global city growth penalty) pillage the region the affected army is in (Regional city growth and unrest penalty) or do nothing. The last one resulting in attrition until you rise the supply again or reduce the army numbers to the maximum your nation can support.

Trees/Water and cliffs can have better texture. Characters are very well detailed.
Critics about coastlines are so ridicolous. I'm sure that someone will whine on the lack of seastars on beaches...
This map is a pleasure for the eyes, can't wait to cross it with my legions![]()

Have a Great Day! I Love You! You're doing Great! Keep up the good Work! You're the Best!
New Rome 2:Total War - Raise Shield DLC and Arrows on Shields add-on!!!
I think you guys misunderstood trade caravans on road with a camel resource.
It seems extremely unlikely that it is a camel resource. If they can have camels in Greece, it means they have already implemented war elephants in Britannia, and heavy war-horses in Italy.![]()
सार्वभौम सम्राट चत्रवर्ती - भारतवर्ष
स्वर्गपुत्र पीतसम्राट - चीन
महाराजानाभ्याम महाराजा - पारसिक
GUI is absolutely horrible, I hope its cause its alpha...
Everything else I can handle...
Great work, Will & CA. It's really awesome.
Is that me or there is a lot of half-stack and less than half-stack going on everywhere on the map ? Was it not the point in limiting the armies movement to armies commanded by generals alone to avoid this situation ?
ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ- come and take them!
Oh yeah!! Spoil us with regular updates.
I may be one of the few people who like the cliffs. I think they don't look bad at all, and they serve a clear gameplay purpose. What I don't like is that it seems that there is often only one way to reach neighbouring regions. I know it was already in Shogun and it obviously helped AI campaign pathfinding, but I think it reduces the possibility for strategic manouvers a bit too much.
Love the shot. I whish there was still the toggle_fow code in the game, it was really interesting to follow the campaign progress in other parts of the map, just like in the screenshot.
The Catiaroi (a Scythian tribe) have vessels that look like Viking ships?

Is it just me or does the campaign map look really... plain? Where are all the animals, trade routes, etc? It just looks like empty space minus the cities and units walking about.
