How would I do this?? Help please

Hi, so I want to modify my bow units for Shimazu, but only for Shimazu so it will only affect the stats for that clan's archers, but when I mod the unit, it modify's the stats of my enemies bow units as well!

Could somebody please guide me on how I would mod the stats but only for shimazu? thanks

Make a copy of the unit lines for the unit you wish to change in the tables

unit_description_texts
unit_stats_land
units
unit_to_unit_abilities_junctions
buildings_unit_allowed

Not sure if you need entries in the other tables referencing units.key for it to work properly, if it doesn't work with just the above tables modified then I guess you'll have to go add an entry into them (just hover over the column name in TWeak to see all tables that reference the key)

Then add two lines in units_to_exclusive_faction_permissions
Old bow unit with faction shimazu false
new bow unit with faction shimazu true

You will also need to modify the start_pos_land_units table if you want to include this in the starting army.

thankyou, but I don't want to create a new unit, I just want to modify the existing one (Bow samurai) but the changes only take effect on Shimazu. Anyone know how to do this?

you cant, unless you create a unit only shimazu can recruit, if u add another bow samurai with new stats you will be able to recruit both as shimazu
