    Default Siege battles and reinforcements

I really dont like battles with reinforcements because whereas AI can deploy and control all of its armies at the beggining of a battle, I have to wait untill some of my units die to get free units slots.

I have played a siege battle where AI had one army besieging my fortress + 2 reinforcements armies and I had 2 reinforcements armies as well. Instead of allowing me to control all of my 3 armies I had to wait untill some of my units die. I lost that battle.

Another weird thing- if AI besieges my city and I attack them before they attack, all they do is leaving their siege equipment and waiting for me to attack them.

Is there a mod which supports 20+ units battles for a player ? Or any other solution ?

    Thanks

NOt a mod, but you CAN set your reinforcement armies to be run by the AI, then click the "command this army in battle" option. Your reinforcing armies will be taken over by the AI, but you can give limited orders to the entire stack "attack, defend," etc. It's not great, but it puts bodies on the field and takes up the attention of the AI units.

My rule of thumb for multi-army battles is to place all the cavalry in the army I'll be commanding (except for one decent- or high-command general in each stack to bolster morale), then place all the reinforcing armies on "attack." The archers and infantry can effectively distract/contain enemy armies well enough without my help, leaving the cavalry free for charging into the enemy's flanks and neutralizing hostile horsemen (neither of which allied AI is particularly adept at).

unlimited number of men on battlefield = 1

give command your extra stacks to AI.

Play with Battle Map Time on.
Înfrânt nu eşti atunci când sângeri,
nici ochii când în lacrimi ţi-s.
    Adevăratele înfrângeri,
    sunt renunţările la vis.

Hmmm let's see....You are a Venetian General besieging a Hungarian Fortress...and the enemy decided to sally out! How great...you don't have to use your siege equipment...errr you don't have to get near to the walls, because you 'll die from their arrows and the gates will boil you alive with their oil...errr,I think yes that's it. Seriously? What do you expect? You are SALLYING OUT,that means you want to meet your enemy on the field and not on your walls...might be brave or foolhardy to do such an action. The enemy won't get near to your walls for the mentioned reasons. In real life,if the defender sallied out,the attackers would just wait, becaues they would feel really uncomfortable near the enemy walls, firing gazillions of arrows and bathing them with boiling oil. Instead, waiting on the field, the attacker is granted the advantage and the defender just loses it.
