Did you just discover this? They revealed this a long time ago.

well that depends on diplomacy and any quirkyness in the A.I. E.g like factions declaring war on you for no reason etc etc...

how are you going to get enough money and satisfy that criteria if for example a country wont trade with you for example (this happened in Shogun2 where u got negative relations with certain factions due to oddities in the game, which mods addressed)...i guess you could always conquer them and get money from that...

Oh OK. I get what yer saying. I thought you meant it like you would meet the requirements and it still wouldn't grant you victory, like a bug or something.

I can see yer point about the other factions not cooperating, but I guess that's what makes the other victory conditions challenging. You can't just roll over people to win, you have to be nice to some people.

I could also see this being a plus if you have a really strong alliance or something. That way you could still win without having to break the alliance to conquer more territory.

Multiple victory conditions are really a step-up. It means they really focused on balancing other aspects of the game - economically and tech-tree wise.

Oh. Well. Yeah it's pretty cool then. Although I can't imagine myself accepting anything less than total military victory.

    I'm excited for it.

The fact that for some, you need to play the campaign entirely differently, means the replayability even for individual factions will be high. Playing as the Barcids with a Military victory where you take over most the map, compared to a Hannoid campaign with an economic victory, where you need to keep at least 12 factions alive and friendly to sustain trade rather than killing everyone off, means that campaigns will be vastly different.

Civilization fans and Total War fans are cut from the same cloth.
Like peanut butter and jelly, or Keenan and Kel. They just go great together.

I actually don't like Civilization. I don't know why. Just never got into it.

BTW Keenan and Kel? Lol. You couldn't think of a more modern reference? Lol.

Keenan and Kel was awesome...There's nothing comparable now.

sorry, got watching nicktoons right now and kenan and kel is on lol
    Next is All that.
The only thing I dont like about the newest civ is the fact that they sold half the game then gave us two "expansions" with features already in previous base games like civ 4. Also the inevitable lag you get once you have the entire map unlocked and are in modern times. I do love nuking though

yea, it depends on how good it s implemented of course

but i m not too sceptical right now. if you re acting like a bad boy and conquering one city after the other, then more and more factions will start to hate you. if you play more pacifistic then i d think you ll always have enough options to trade. it s not so much different from what we have now and all that realm divide thing.

I was immediately reminded of "We love our king day" when I saw the effects of the edicts Looks quite like Civ V on the map.

That's exactly what I thought. TWR2 has definitely taken some ideas from the Civilization series of games but I think they've also taken it to a much higher level.
