Samnites as 118th faction?

Dear CA,

we know that Samnites will be only in prologue. They won't be in grand campaign.

So what is their status? Are they in 117 factions? Or they are as 118th extra faction because 117 factions are all in grand campaign? There are too much on planned campaign map so I don't know real number of faction from grand campaign.

Please give me ansewer.

I think the prologue is about Rome taking the southern half of Italy from the Samnites, since the northern part is controlled by the Etruscans. If that's the case, then I'm also pretty sure the Samnites are going to be destroyed in the prologue.

Really ? Is Samnite not already included in the 117 faction list ? I thought Samnite might make an appearance if some city in Italy rebelled and they will become an emerging independent Samnite faction.

They aren't on grand campaign map. Please look at interactive campaign map. Their territory is on Roman faction. Samnites will be only in prologue.

My guess is an emergent faction.

Maybe Samnites are in the prologue as a faction and in the main campaign they could be recruitable as mercenaries.....

DLC maybe. I wont be interested anyway, like you said, 117 factions... really dont care if it's a toss between 117 and 118

My guess is that they will be in the prologue, and will emerge in the campaign if a certain region rebels or is made vassal.
