Well I downloaded Part 1 and Part 2 of TATW of MODDB and I did have the internet open (Not sure if this effects it) I have done everything possible that Lionheart (Youtuber) has Said to try... no luck these things consist of: Turning off the auto clock adjust for day and night,
deleting the two descr_geography_new-files. But I am yet to re-download the game. If any one has a Fix that would work I would be very grateful (I will re-download it meanwhile and see if it works)

You don't need to turn off the clock or internet (?), are you using the steam version? do you have kingdoms installed? also, install the 2 patches.

    Oh, that's easy then:
rename the folder to Third_Age_3 again, use this (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=2824) so you can add the mod to the launcher. Run Kingdoms from steam.

If that doesn't work, replace the buggy launcher with this one:
    http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2500705

    Enjoy.

Just to be sure, the path should look like this:
    Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3

Yes. Just to be clear this is what you do if you have steam:

    - Install
    TATW_3.0_Part1of2.exe &
    TATW_3.0_Part2of2.exe &
    TATW_3.1_Patch.exe &
    TATW_3.2_Patch.exe

    Computer/LocalDisk/Programs(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/MedievalTotalWar2 <---- Correct way

    DO NOT INSTALL IT TO:

Computer/LocalDisk/Programs(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common/MedievalTotalWar2/ Mods <---- This is wrong, install it as I said above.

After you have installed all of the files, in the correct order, go to "Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War/mods" And then rename one of your expansions you dont need, for example the americas expansion. Rename the ORIGINAL americas folder to "americas 1" or something. Then edit the name of your "Third_Age_3" folder to "americas" Note that you must call it "americas" and not "Americas" with capital letters. It has caused people to crash before. Then start up Medieval II Total war and choose the americas campaign. It should work that way.

Hi there and welcome to TWC Forums!
That guy on Youtube has wrong installation instructions.. do not follow his steps!

    1. What Windows do you have ( I presume either 7 or 8 .. ) ?

If you have either Windows Vista, 7 or 8, click on the link "EK's Install Thread" in my signature.. it is a thread with pictures for the installation of TATW.. You need to do these things explained there:
    1. Edit the security of your main M2TW folder.
    2. Remove currently failed TATW files from your ..steam/ .../ M2TW / mods folder ( delete the RENAMED FOLDER where TATW is installed)

    3. Verify Steam game cache.

    4. Use one of the STEAM methods for the installations.. or, follow the one shown in the pictures ( renaming KINGDOMS folder).

    5. For battles crashes disable daylight savings.

    Good luck!

The rename thingy isn't needed anymore since the Kingdsoms Launcher app was released to fix it.

Are you sure that you're using kingdoms? Because that problem happens when you're using the medieval2.exe

Last thing that you can do is this, rename kingdoms to launcher.exe. Go to the launcher options in steam for kingdoms and add

    --features.mod=mods/Third_Age_3

Make sure that the folder Third_Age_3 is there (in the mods folder).

Wait, my folder that Mods is in Should be Medieval total war 2 right? and to run my game I use the NON-GOLD version of M2TW which now to think about it the kingdoms launcher is the same as the Normal version and you can run kingdoms from the normal but no I am using the Kingdoms launcher on steam.

Yes, you need to launch the game through Kingdoms. Not medieval.

So heres what I have done
Made Sure Its in the Right folder.
    Verified Steam Cache.
    Set Launch Options to --features.mod=mods/Third_Age_3
Installed these items and placed them onto my Desktop:
    TATW_3.0_Part1of2.exe &
    TATW_3.0_Part2of2.exe &
    TATW_3.1_Patch.exe &
    TATW_3.2_Patch.exe
    (IN ONE FOLDER)
Downloaded Kingdoms launcher app and Set the Mod path to mods\mods\Third_Age_3 and Set game .Exe to Kingdoms
Changed the Security on the Medieval 2 Total War folder.
    Unhid folders.

And this is what I Have:
A Folder in My Mods/Mods Folder named: Third_Age_3
A Folder in My Mods Folder Named: Third_Age_3
I have the NON-GOLD Steam Version of M2TW

Seriously if you guys can get this working with my tried ass mind behind it you guys are geniuses.

Then do what I've said in the #11 post, it should work (It's what I'm doing since I don't like using the launcher)
