    Default Campaign startup Crash

Hey guys. New to the forum and already posting a boring "my game is crashing *cries*" comment. But I'm not very tecnichal so the best way is to ask.

Just installed MOS 1.5 to my TATW 3.2 mod and now I've encountered the problem that, when I try a new campaign, it crashes. I come to the faction selection etc but as soon as I press Start, it shuts down because of an "unspecified error". And help to or pointers to other threads would be much appreciated

just so you know the latest version of MOS 15 , (hopefully bug free) was released yesterday

    linky : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...1#post13023724

    ok now onto your problem ;

1)first of have you run the cleaner .bat located in the Third_age_3 folder ? if not try that
2)if the cleaner doesn't work make sure that it deleted the file named Map.rwm located in Third_age_3/data/world/maps/base

no luck with either of these moving on then...

    3) this sounds like an installation error if the cleaner didn't help.. so questions..
~any problems with third age before the sub mod was installed
~steam or non steam version of med 2
    ~what windows do you have

you have run afoul of either a permission issue or a virtualization issue , steps you need to take (copy + pasted from elven kinds thread just to give you a continuous path to follow )

spoiler one editing security of the med 2 folder
spoiler 2 unhiding hidden folders ( virtual store is one of these)
spoiler three finding and deleting stuff found in virtual store

NOTE: Windows XP Users don`t need to make any security changes, or have special instructions, just check where you installed M2TW+Third Age, and direct submod Installation to that folder path.

Windows VISTA, Windows 7, Windows 8 Users ( even STEAM Users with these operating systems )... First step for you to do:

    1. Edit Security for your main Medieval II Total War folder (original thread and credits go to this nice guy, SigniferOne, here ) .

    2. Unhide hidden folders:

    3. Delete VirtualStore content ( Medieval II Total War folder which is present in VirtualStore ) :
NOTE! It is important for you to know the name of your Computer/Laptop, right mouse click on your Computer icon and go to Properties.. The Name of your PC is there.

    see if MOS works now
