Looking at this makes me quite happy about this forum.

We complain about people complaining, and those people complain about the others complaining that they are complaining.
But we all complain about some issues we say suck, or we wish could have been made in another way.

Whether it is for moderators good work or just the good nature of people on this forum, I've never seen death threats or threats of violence on this forum no matter how unlikely that is to happen for real. And that rocks. I've never heard of CA getting death threats about things they have done/not done with their games, and that rocks further still.

So anyway, happy to be on this forum

Yeah, overall it is pretty peaceful on here. Some threads can heat up, but overall, we're all just hyped for the game and are happy with what we've seen so far...well most of us are anyway.

At anycase it isnt suprising people been more calm here, total war games are strategy games. based on history, i wouldnt call it a casual genre on its own, besides, its mainstream apearence.

Yeah, I find it unbelievable too. I mean, if anything were to go wrong with Rome 2 we can almost guarantee it would get fixed by a mod so us guys never lose out. Still though, someone would freak out. Think the backlash over the arrow trails was bad? Goes way past words with some people haha

I doubt anyone would threaten the CA team. No person here could think of threatening Jack, Al, or even Will. All the CA employees are good blokes to begin with. The company also works hard to support the modding community and fanbase so no disgruntled teens over here. YouTube maybe but not TWC.

I agree that here it's more peaceful, but on the other hand TWC members don't make death threats. If anything they(we?) would be making death promises.
And still TWC has a very, very bad name on the official forums. Oh well...

On the other hand, precisely because TW gamers are, well, more mature in nature and at the same time passionate about the game, there's a degree of self-censorship that's sadly missing from a lot of other popular game communities.
By that I mean that potential "death-threaters" need to think hard before making a threat, because chances are some community member will take it seriously, find them and go "Taken" on their ass.
