Actually, I would prefer expansions about Rome rather than Greece. This game is about Rome after all. Ancient Greece deserves its own Total War game.

PS - since it isn't copyrighted I have my suspicions CA will be copying the map and factions bit for bit.....
These are historical states. CA wouldnt be copying anything. Except History.

This wont be a mod, unless someone figures out how to create a new map on the Rome II modified Warscape engine.

The fact that you made it seems like something that should have been made clearer to start with....

What the hell is going on today?! Everyone's being very misleading!

Still, it is very good work.

I hardly believe that it isn't a fake. It have few provinces own, literally, by no one. For example Latina (Roman Kingdom), and Western Sicily (Phoenician colony of Lilybaeum).

For Asia Minor I'd use this map, except Galatia should belong to Greater Phrygia.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."

I've doubts about including Rome because of their size in this time frame.

About the pre-Roman Italy map; too hot to work at the moment, maybe in the future.

That's something that I also want to know. The map of England is encouraging.

I think there is enough variation here:
City states have a different kind of hoplites, peltasts, etc. The Italian cultures Etruscans / Samnites. Celtic units from Serdi.
Different Illyrian and Thracian factions, and of course the Persian Empire.

Great! I hope it can be a mod, when CA decide not to make a Peloponnese expansion.

I have chosen for Italy instead of the Persian empire, so the game would be better balanced.
Italy is also important for a Greek centered expansion, because of the important Greek cities positioned there.
    and Italic cultures for variation.

I made some illustrations inspired from Greek pottery to get you in the mood:

    It's probably not legit...

Shame, because I would lose my mind if it was.

    Id pay for this.

Can we theoretically take the Rome 2 map and make more provinces out of it?

Nope, not on the Warscape engine unless they're finally allowing modders to alter to campaign map and if so, we might get an updated TATW / GoT etc overhauls.

The campaign map is fully moddable in Shogun 2 with the assembly kit.

Also you can checkout this mod: Expanded Japan mod (7 new regions, 5 new factions)

Actually, I am currently not really making one right now, but rather doing tests and experiments with it. I am holding off making a new map until Rome 2 is out. As if we get an Assembly kit set of tools for it I won't have much interest in Shogun 2 anymore.

It would require the map to be made quite a few times bigger if we would still like to keep these same-sized cities etc.
I would not mind that but whoever tries their hand at it would have a lot of work on their hands.

    But yeah, I'd pay too.
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:

Well, I'd love to see Rome as a client-state of Etruscan Kingdom/League, trying to survive and make their own mark in history, but that site is obviously fake..

And look at DAT Persian Empire! By the name of balance! It must have been chopped to sum client-states!

This expansion would be awsome and I'm sure I'll buy it if this comes true As greek archaic and classical eras are my favourite ones
