Choosing bodyguards
In Rome 1 (and I think all other TW Games) all generals(family members, not captains) had a bodyguard made up of heavy cavalry, and if you lost half of it in a battle you couldn't replace them and the general unit would be very weakened. As for captains, the AI chooses which unit they belong to for you, which can be pretty annoying if it chooses a weak unit. Do you think you should be able to choose a bodyguard unit for a general, so that you can protect your precious family members and more strategically choose your 'captain unit?'

Re: Choosing bodyguards
If I understood correctly there will be a variety of possible general bodyguards to choose from, or at least they will be upgraded with tech. As for the captain unit it is usually chosen as the best unit, with cavalry being the priority, besides, there will probably be no captains in Rome II as armies need a general to do anything.
