In Weeks 1 and 2, we have learned only few verbs, two of them being regular -en verbs. These regular verbs are also referred to as "weak verbs."
Let us review how to conjugate these regular -en verbs. Feel free to ask any questions here in this thread.
heißen
ich heiße
du heißt (Note: the reason why there is no extra "s" is because "ß" is pronounced as "ss," and having three "sss" would be weird)
er/sie/es heißt
wir heißen
ihr heißt
sie/Sie heißen
kennen
ich kenne
du kennst
er/sie/es kennt
wir kennen
ihr kennt
sie/Sie kennen
I marked the verb stems in green. As you can see, once you understand the pattern, conjugating regular -en verbs becomes rather easy. Please practice and remember this pattern.
