Default ALLIANCES. Will they be EU/HOI/VICKY/CIV alliances or previous CA alliances?

I never played Shogun so i dont know if it was in it but in R2, does anyone so far know if:

    1) When an enemy declares war on you, do your allies automatically declare war on them?

    2) When an enemy declares war on your ally, do you auto declare war on them or do you have an option not to go to war therefore lose honour?

    3) When two client states of two different powers start a ruck, do their "owner states" auto join? (e.g. like in Spain with Rome and Carthage)

    4) When an ally starts a war with a guy that is neutral to you, do you auto join in/get an option to join/not join?

    5) Can a client state declare war on other people?

    6) Can a client state declare independence?

I dont know if the info is out there yet so i dont mind hearing some interpreted sourced speculation.

I don't think we know the specifics yet. They mentioned clients having a level of autonomy in the first campaign demo in Egypt and not being outright servitude. All previous titles gave you a choice to accept or decline joining an allies war, I'm sure that is still the case. But really, we don't know.

Thanks for this info PHX Hades, is it coming from stuff you've read or seen? Or are you basing this on Shogun's mechanics?

Anyway rep for the post and rep for having Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in your sig. rep+

I just based it off of the way Shogun II worked. Haven't heard much about diplomacy differences in Rome II.

And you are kidding about the Jesus thing right?

That's nice and all, but it's actually Hades, not Jesus. Or rather Ralph Fiennes as Hades in Clash of the Titans/Wrath of the Titans. I'm actually an atheist, so, ya know, definitely not Jesus.

You bring up a good point. Client states really don't have many options other than rebellion. Perhaps it's different in Rome II. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I hope Jesus is in game as a Character trying to cause unrest or something. And then killing him, or maybe for fun keep him alive a bit longer. Before he can die for the sins, of all the people (well only the ones before Christ) need I remind you!

    1) Your allies will chose whether or not to declare war on your enemy

    2) You will get a choice whether or not to declare war on your allies enemy

    3) In Shogun II vassals (client states) couldn't declare war (except on their owner). Don't know if that's changed in Rome II

    4) As before, you chose

    5) In Shogun II they couldn't. I think it's the same for Rome II, but not 100% sure

    6) In Shogun II a vassal (client state) can declare war on it's owner yes. I assume it's the same for Rome II
