Game crashes after a second of launch

I have a problem with Third Age.

i installed it, but when i launch it, a second later it turns off without a message.


I've tried everything for this:
Turning off the auto clock adjust for day and night,

re installing the game,

& deleting the two descr_geography_new-files.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

I just saw that you opened up your own thread, so lets take it here...

You installed it wrong... answer these few questions:

1. What Windows do you have?

2. Is your M2TW A Steam or non steam version?

3. Have you installed all four TATW Installers?

4. Have you edited any files, or installed any TATW submod?

Ok.. In my signature bellow, there ia a link : EK's Install Thread.. click on it and you will be taken to a thread which has pictures for installation.

These steps you need to do which are explained there:

1. Edit security for your main M2TW folder ( or, use the TakeOwnership.reg method).

2. Unhide hidden folders, check Virtual Store and delete M2TW folder if you find it there.

3. Delete Third_Age_3 folder from your main ...M2TW/ mods folder.

4. Install all four TATW Installers ( be sure to install them in the correct folder, if your M2TW is installed somewhere else than in the default folder, then change the destination path) .

5. For battle crashes disable daylight savings, go to your Time and Date ( Clock) ,Time Zone, and uncheck "Automatically adjust daylight saving setting ". Apply and OK.

I'm currently installing.

Just wanted to know:
Can I now install mos submod without any crashes or do i need to do anything more?

I would first test TATW to see does it work and can you play campaign.. and if it works, I would suggest to make a backup copy of Third_Age_3 folder somewhere ( in case you screw up some installation or just need a VANILLA TATW files quickly) and, follow the MOS Installation pictures ( be sure to check Destination path for the Installer and point it to the correct one - your Third Age folder, overwrite files when asked, run Cleaner.bat file).

It is really easy, just make sure you install it in the location of your Third_Age_3 folder.
