    Icon5 "First person" artillery, will we see it in rome?

    The title says it all, is there any chance we will be able to control the arty from "first person" like in shogun 2(FOTS)?

    I personally enjoyed it in shogun 2, especially with the blood pack ...

    Yea it's coming back, same loved this camera. Problem was spent more time here than comanding my tropps

    never tried it since i didnt bother to play FOTS long enough to buy a machinegun.

    It's a good example of a slightly arcadey feature that still doesn't detract from the gameplay. I can't wait to siege great cities like Carthage and watch my flaming boulders go flying over the walls

    This is quite far out thinking and I hope you can comprehend what I'm about to say here... But maybe, you know, you could NOT use the first person view if you don't like it? I hope this isn't too ground breaking for you.

    Why remove something that other people find fun? Are you that bitter?

    To be honest, it is practically impossible to tell whether you are serious over a matter or not. Sometimes you just troll, and sometimes actually discuss.

    Sounds more like you want an arcade game.

    Field artillery has been recorded going back to Alexander the Great. It was used for purposes where it could provide covering fire in river crossings and such. Caesar used as much as possible in his campaigns and hated going into battle without a couple of Scorpions to cover his legions.

    As for the FPS...well that's optional but I'm pretty sure that's how people used those weapons. I mean you're just changing the view to what the crew is seeing.

    I would love to be an engineer control the ballista to attack the wall, a well placed shot that able to break the parapet and kill some enemies before my tower reach the wall
    Empire II and Medieval III pls

    I like pressing the Inser button only for seeing arrows or projectiles killing the ennemies. But i don't liked the FPS artillery in FotS, even with ships. So, nah

    The idea is fine as long as it shoots with the same accuracy, and reloads with the same time.

    In FOTS it was unbalanced at release, but then they patched it correctly. At least I noticed a huge different the last time I played. When FOTS first came out the cannons would should perfectly straight. It was so easy to snipe generals.

    As long as I have arrow cam back I don't really care about the first person artillery.
