problems with rome: total and video card

Hey i got a new video card for my computer when i got it at first it looked like it greatly improved rome: total war, it greatly improved the graphics and the battles didnt lag which was a big problem before i got the video card.

but after awhile of playing i realized that since i got the video card the loading screens take twice as long as they used to, the game will regularly freeze on the campaign map and also the computer will often crash during the loading screens between battles, the only thing that hasn't had any problems is the actual battles.

the video card is a Nvidia Geforce 6200.

does anyone know how to fix these problems i really dont wanna have to get rid of the video card i spent a hundred dollars on it and i dont wannt lose the positive aspects of it

I also started to experience this problem from a week ago (until them, my Geforce 8600 had been working without problems). My computer also freeze randomly on the campaign map and on battles. Is your problem as recent as mine? If it's recent, maybe it has to do with an update in Windows 7 (see http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...nu-and-video-s). I got the half black screen problem too. I will try that solution.

mines been going on for a few months i dont remember when it was exactly it was but i havent had that problem no, its been freezes during the campaign map and crashes during loading screens. it sucks cause its kinda ruined the game.
