Total newb wants to edit how money works- help?

So I apologize in advance- I have no idea what I'm doing. I see the tools but I can't see a tutorial or anything- so I'm lost.

All I'm looking to do is reduce the upkeep cost of Ashigaru (as they're peasants, my friends and I think we're way overpaying) and possibly make income from trade or provinces just a little kinder- as at this point even in co-op it's very unforgiving.

Any idea where I can find resources to get me started on this? Thanks in advance.

Do you have any basic understanding how the tools work? If so, Unit Upkeep are in db>units_table, under upkeep_cost.

I do, but it crashes whenever I start it up. Should I upload it?

(also, my friend and I were looking to remove the damn "Upstart General" and "Delusions of Grandeur" effects as we're not exactly pros. Any idea where THAT is stored?)
