odd problem.

for some reason i deleted my bi folder in my main rtw directory. now when i try to re instal the game, it only shows the play and uninstall options. clicking uninstal doesnt do anything, and neither does clicking play. i also cant uninstal it from add or remove programs. re instaling rtw doesnt do anything either. any help is appreciated.

you must delete the activision or ca or what ever the folder is named that has the rtw files

The same happened to me a whle back.

If iamthefrgtn10's solution doesn't work, this is how I fixed it:

1. Enter your RTW Disc #1.
2. Do not choose any of the autostrat options. Instead, go to 'My Computer,' right click on the CD icon, and click Open.
3. Once inside you'll see many folders/icons. Look for the icon that is called Rome Total War(TM) and click it. (If not that, then Setup)
4. Your game will then "uninstall," even though you already deleted your folders. You can reinstall after.

in the process of re installing rtw to re install bi, another thing occoured. on the first disk, it says i am missing a map file, it was like rocky_rome or something like that. re trying did nothing, and neither did deleting the Rtw main folder. Any other suggestions?, i may have to try deleting the activision folder, but i am reluctant because thats where i saved all my mod installers ! lol.

Hope it doesn't take too long. That is a lot of files.(It takes like 30 minutes for me to copy Rome to my desktop while being online) Oh well it is worth it.

lol just a matter of cleaning the first disk of rtw. i also fixed my bi problem thanks to god. mods can close this.
