Can you play as Sweden?

This was a huge war in the history of Sweden and had one of their greatest leaders be in it, so i was wondering if you could play as them?

Oh damn straight Sweden is in it Lots of Sweden.

They are in, with plenty of scripts, led by Gustavus Adolphus himself, and they have great amounts of neat unique units. Three or four different types of Scottish mercenary for example, and the famed Hackapells!

haha sick! but, i seem to have run a problem, i have everything downloaded and i do not really know how to play it now, it didn't even make a desktop shortcut, and idk if it actually did download properly, it said for some of the files windows can not tell what program to run.

If there is no desktop shortcut then you have installed it incorrectly.
You only need to run the EXE files - the DO files will be installed automatically. Check the instructions on the main download page.

Wait... I saw in 2.0 preview that "ottoman empire" is listed as a faction, but with no starting territories: will they be emergent? Playable?

They are invading

Ottomans are not playable:
a) they have no regions on the map
b) they become main faction in our "spin-off"-mod "1648: The Two Towers"
c) in 1648: 30 Years of War, they only should annoy Habsburg-Austria
d) they had no role in the thirty years war

So, you play as Austria (for example), all is going well, the Heretics, the Mutants and the Xenos, oh wait another game... the protestants gets beating by mighty imperial armies, its a nice day at Vienna with a cup of hot chocolate... suddenly you get the message: Oh NOO, the Ottomans sacking the southern regions!
