Anyone seen it? And agree?

Haven't seen it, but I did like the original 1970's British film. I presume that this is another re-make that should never have been made?

I havent seen it myself as i have no interest in seeing another butchering of a classic

I'm looking to see, on the basis the trailer looked very good and the Iron Maiden song of the same name is fantastic.

Having seen the original... sounds like its an altered plot to add an odd romance element in there and take out some of the plot twists. PLOT SPOILER IN WHITE.... Bet he even lives...

It's miserable, that's all you need to know. It builds up the entire film making you hate certain characters, and it provides no release.

Look in the trailer or a poster and you can see his face at the top of the burning wicker man... creepy.

Please do yourselves a huge favor and watch the original. It's an amazing film unlike anything you've ever seen. This "remake" is a travesty. Everything that made the original unique and creepy is gone, you're left with a modernized version that will make true Wicker Man fans weep. I could go on and on about why this version blows, but I'll save everyone my rant.

That being said, if you havent seen the original you might actually like this. But once again, see the original 1975 version with Christopher Lee. You wont regret it.

Bottom line: The original is like doing your first line of really good cocaine. The remake is like snorting cocaine cut with Talcum powder.
