Unexpecteed Error at battledeployment 2

Hello, when I enter battle the game says "Unexpected error, and will now exit" close to those words.
I am playing this on windows 7 dell on a laptop. With Medeviel total war 2 gold edition, it is a CD.
I have been playing this for a long time before, but for some reason it doesn't work now.

I've noticed that it works ( I am able to do the battle) for:

Britanna
Americas

Doesn't work for:
Teutonic
Crusade
Vanailla ( Main map with all fractions I believe)

If it just starting doing it,

1. Have you cleaned the dirt and crud out of the case?
2. While open, are all the fans still turning?
3. Have you checked your voltages and temps?
4. Have you checked the system.log.txt for any error messages/

All four Kingdoms campaigns and vanilla still have bugs even with the 1.5 patch installed. Custom settlement battles are notorious for it.

1. Yes, the case the disk( what do you mean by case? the part where you put the disk? Yes)

1. Your laptop case. You have to open it. A can of compressed air can from a store like Wal-Mart, Target, Frys, Best buy can do wonders getting dust out of crevices inside.
2. Turn on your laptop with the case open. You should be able to see if they are moving or not.
3. HWMonitor and PC Wizard can offer clues with their readings. Speedfan is good but not for laptops.
4. For vanilla or Kingdoms, it's in the main Medieval2 folder and it can be read in Notepad.

I heard that it crashes each time in battle, when you click battle deployment. That is the problem I have. I have tried to delete this before. (before) I have unpack_all (used) but, I could not find those files:data\descr_geography_new.txt
data\descr_geography_new.db

Do you think I should do this : Quoted from Unpacker Readme: NOTE: Due to a timestamp check, the following unpacked files will cause the game to crash and must be deleted before the game is launched:

Yes but I don't remember you mentioning you unpacked the game in your OP. This would solve your problem.

Yeah, well where would I find this? Should I unpack_all? I did this in the past, but I could not find those files. So yeah where would I find these after I unpack this?

IF you did not unpack, and NOT planning on doing any modding, DON"T. It's not necessary for just playing the game.

Hey, uh, could you give me a step by step process on what to do on this data/decr_geogrpahy files? How to unpack, where to find these files, I have Windows 7

You don't need to unpack them. This is not your problem.

Now, back to the list. Your problem lies in there, be it hardware acting up (some members have had to buy cooling pads to play), gpu and/or power supply playing games and on the way out, a layer of dirt overheating your laptop, a fan no longer spinning "normal", a glitch in the game itself, none of these are geography files involved at this time. Please don't muddy the water.

Dude ok, but really. I have been playing this games for months. These things you said don't seem to be the problem. It seems like as well, I am not the only one with this problem, I have spent HOURS on looking on how to fix this problem. People say it is not compatible with windows 7. Last time you told me I needed a new graphics card.
Please, I need a straight forward problem. What is the problem and how do I fix it??????

How long have you had it? A year? Does it ever get hot to the touch? Do you ever hear the fan(s) ramp up under stress? Dirt inside the case.
It came with Win 7, right? It's compatible, then, or you have a warranty problem with Michael Dell.
You don't change graphics cards in these things. It either works or it does not.
Short of an error message in the system.log.txt, it's not the game. Believe me. It's laptop related and the stress test this game can be, I'd say heat related.
