Public Beta released

As of today the 'Rise of three Kingdoms' mod will be available as a public Beta version. We have decided on this type of release as we

a) do not have the man power to do detailed and in depth testing
b) are fairly confident that we didn't leave major catastrophes behind

Please feel free to post 'bug reports' in the error report forum. Even if it is a simple missing pic or some interface issue, but please provide as much detail as possible to enable an easy locating of the problem.
Should it be an actual crash, please read the sticky first and then submit your report, again with as much detail as possible.

We do hope that we succeed in entertaining you - do feel free to post suggestions as well.

There is only a very basic script available for the time being - this will be a work of longer duration in which we welcome suggestions regarding scenarios, quests and the like. Updated versions will be included in the coming patches.

Hi Gigantus, great effort to release this beta: Congratz...!
Unfortunately it's only available in a Torrent-like download.
(not everyone likes or is able to use this way of downloading)

Is it possible for you to also give an alternative as a not-Torrent download ?
Many will be grateful for providing us !

A regular download is being worked on - it may take until the weekend. Most likely via my German friends at Infracta plus one alternative.
The torrent is only privately hosted and will not create any problem in case you have security concerns.

The government in Norway is working against pirating. Is is safe for me to download this via torrent?

my next door neighbor is a captain for the state troopers and he specialiazes in online pirating and child porn and what not and i asked him about torrenting the Zulu mod for N:TW and he said that was ok and NOT Illegal since only Copyrighted stuff is illegal to torrent so i think we are good here lol @Jupiter93

Thanks for the info Sigmar. But i'll stick with the direct link even if it takes too many hours. The Norwegians are strict with their rules and before you know it the police will track my ass down and ransack my PC for torrenting proof, just by downloading one legal file via torrent.

Downloading a torrent is only pirating if the content downloaded is illegal (as is the case with any other form of downloading). This content is a legal modification of permitted game files (observing the 'illegal activities' rule here) and hence will not cause any problems.

first off would like to thank to rotk team for their time in giving us this amazing gift of a mod; so amazing that after years of being a visitor of this forum and monitoring the development of this mod for so long i feel i had to register this time to show my appreciation!

That's awesome Diren91! I started as just a visitor for a year or so too. Then I joined up and caught the modding bug, so be careful or it might get you too. lol
And you are welcome! It's the best when you know people appreciates the time we put into a project and a bonus when someone joins up because of our work! I really do hope you enjoy the mod, and please if you have any suggestions for the mod, or questions about the forum don't hesitate to contact me!

I will see about uploading to another site. I've never had trouble with Rapidshare but I have seen several people complaining about the download speed. I used to love FileFront before they changed to Game Front and limited the file size to under a GB.

A new patch is already in the works. There will be a lot of UI updates and fixes, as well as a fix for many of the Liu Clan units (unit info, unit cards, & textures).

I am still seeding the torrent, for those using that as opposed to the new download provided by y2day.
