Just for SS6.4 you might need to drop the default.cfg in the mods\SS6.3 folder and overwrite the old one.
After installing the zip file i cannot find any default.cfg which i can overwrite the one in mods\SS6.3
Where i can find the default.cfg?
I installed GEM and now launcher that comes with EBII wont start....any suggestions?
You get the most of this mod in battles so as long as they are fine for you!?hisuperb mod but my game is now very very laggy in the main screen and on the campaign map to...any ideas how to fix them ?
I didnt heard about that problem yet, what mods do you use and what specs you have?
For now just hit shift+F12 and see if turning of effects help (you dont really need em on campaign map and main screen)
Edit:
- shift+F12 toggles effects on/off
- make sure to run only M2:TW while playing (esp video streams if -running or paused- can cause performance issues)
- update to latest graphics driver and directx
- if you running on high resolution already turn off graphics card forced antialiasing or anisotropic filtering

when i turning of the mod ,was the same laggy gameplay...now i deledet and now it works fine...
i think i must reinstall dx9 ...i try it .Maybe that's the problem
Did you download and install default.zip as mentioned in this thread?
The core is optimized for NVIDIA cards so this could also be an issue.
I think that might be the problem
I have dx9 installed now, but it still stutters
the problem could really be the ATI card![]()
I added alternative .dll files: alternativeDLLs.zipI think that might be the problemThe core is optimized for NVIDIA cards so this could also be an issue.
I have dx9 installed now, but it still stutters

Dont forget to rename!
What about the ingame bloom effect from the options menu, should I turn it off after installing this mod? OR leave it turned on?
Also, how can I find out whether SS 6.4 has problems displaying all effects or not? I mean, I don't know all effects, so I probably can't tell whether they're displayed or not![]()

Ehm, I did extract the submod to the MTW2 folder but I don't really know if this is on or not. Pressing shift+F9 or F12 does nothing
d3d9.dll, effect.txt, enbpalette.bmp, enbseries.ini should be found in your M2:TW main folder (eg.:D:\STEAM\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War)
Also if you use Stainless Steel you should place the default.cfg into the /mods/SS6.3 folder.
After that you dont need to do anything. The modification is turned on automatically, you will see something written in the left upper corner of your screen when M2:TW starts up means everything is turned on.
With shift + F12 you can toggle effects off or on but they should be on by default and you should notice the difference.
