Damn you stannis from destroying Runestone, what is the point in conquering if you destroy all settlements? It is a short term strategy that will only hinder me or you in later game after one of us is defeated.

Is luring a garrison out by denying a unit retreat not a bug? I could have sworn some one got in trouble about this once, although I can't remember the circumstances, or even if it was the same situation.

Not this case, its very dirty tho and ive always asked players not to do it. Desperate times calls for desperate measures im sorry to admit. ( mac did it to me in WoG just last turn^^ ) Saving hornsvale would not be possible, and i need every man i can get for later. You are probably referring to the fortbug where armies retreat inside to then move back outside whenever an enemy unit is within the forts ZoC when the battle takes place, Uriyaca talks of it in the known bugs thread.

To make sure it was allowed, i asked EoH first with him pretty much stating above, namely: dirty.
Some hotseats had rules against this before, usually tied with "no attacking defeated armies" but its pretty rare now.

I recently just had someone ask me about advise on a subject similar to this and I was just wondering as he wanted to make it very clear beforehand that he was not doing this^, and I like I said, I too felt it was a little off. But I suppose there is no rule against dirty, and so carry on.

Although to be blatantly honest, you say you wonder why you came so close to winning most dreaded commander when all you need to do is look back in this thread to see your answer.
