Who is Maratha?

In every Vanella Total War game theres always an AI that expands, advances, spams stacks and just excels so much faster than any other AI. Sometimes more than the human player.
In Rome I think it was Egypt, In M2 definetly the Holy Roman Empire, Empire the "Marathas" And lastly in Shogun 2 it was the Oda.
It almost seems like a vanella total war birth right to have 1 faction be on steroids.
Ive only posted a few in the Poll that I beleive have the capability to become broken as the others before.
Such as rich recources. Stong military. Potential Large area of influence.
Witch faction will follow this lineage in Rome 2?

I never had much trouble with Milan, I never saw them explode really.

You know what, your right it is a toss up between Takeda and Oda. For me it was either those two and sometimes maybe Date. But Oda was the only one that I saw conquer Japan in about ten yesrs time. Me being Chosokabe wasnt safe from their onslaught.

I chose Iceni because I feel that AI factions that soley move around the world on ships have it easier to conquer far away swaths of land.

To answer the question though, I think it'll be Egypt again. Several rich provinces at the start of the game, plus a good mix of deadly Hellenistic units and cheaper Egyptian natives might lead to Egyptian dominance.

Lol yeah that was the best conquest line ever! Apperently the barbarians all suffered from the worst case of sore throat ever, no wonder they went berserk.

The Oda Clan? But they got wiped out in half of my campaigns! (Probably because they never used their over-the-average ashigaru, but just spams of yari sam ) And in Rome I the romans always conquered everything, along with the Britons and Egyptians. But yeah, the Maratha were the worst (or best) of all TW games OP AI factions, I think I've played only 2 campaigns in which they did not start steamrolling the whole world.

Anyway, I'd say Rome or Carthage, if Carthage has a big boost in economy, then most definitely Carthage, otherwise, if chariots will play auto-resolve as they used to do in the old days, well, it will be Egypt vs Iceni (or another British tribe with chariots) all the way.

This seems accurate and quite a large probability to be honest.
For me it would either be Egypt, because of the richness of there region, Parthia, because of what was stated above and lastly Iceni. Because they are a sea faring people and will probably end up everywhere. Early British expansion eh

My pick is the Parthians, they are situated far east and may have time to build up and expand.
