    To preface..

    Playing a SS 6.3 RP campaign as England, finally decided to try to get the Swords' Guild HQ.

    So I built a million (okay, alot) of sword units in Caen, where my Master Swords' Guild is.

    After many turns of nothing happening, I figured some other faction must have the HQ.

    So I sent forth a legion of Spies to locate the HQ, and found it, in Scandinavia belonging to Norway (Kalmar).

    Then I sent a squad of assassins to take it out.

    After a few more turns of nothing, and seeing it destroyed 100% during the time, I didn't get any offer for the HQ at my Masters Guild in Caen.

    Then I sent a strike team to take the citadel, and demolish the Guild HQ completely. That did the job.


    Unfortunately, again after many turns I receive no offer for the Swords' Guild HQ despite building many more sword units.


    And now, worse, I can't find the HQ at all!

    I've scoured most of the board and none of the other factions Master Sword Guilds have been upgraded to HQ.



    So, we get to my question:

    1. How can I get the HQ in my citadel?

    2. Is there a console command to see all the buildings in every settlement on the board? Similar to if I had a good spy in each settlement. I just want to find the HQ, if another faction snapped it up.

    1. Be the first to get it , otherwise someone else will snag it up first like in this case.

    2. I think you can do it with toggle_fow, but I may be wrong.

    Destroying with spies wont work because the building is still there, so you always have to take the city and demolish it.

    1. Yeah I'm reasonably confident that no faction has the HQ right now, as I destroyed the HQ in Scandi and have searched all the other Swords guilds I searched before. Pretty much all of Europe, Italy, Russia/Steppes.

    I haven't searched much in Africa, the Middle East or some of the Islands. That is quite tedious from my current position.


    2. toggle_fow reveals the map, but it does not reveal everything. Buildings and units still have a big '?' question mark all over the board. I want to reveal those in order to find where the Swords HQ may have jumped to.


    Alternatively, a console command to turn my Master Swords guild into a HQ would be nice.

    If you knew how many Spies died to acquire details of every settlement on the board ...

    I think the problem is you destroyed the HQ guild. I think when you do that it gives a hit to the guild's liking of you. I think you just need to perservere.

    Yeah there is a penalty

    I think that I have overcome that though, as its been a long game so far and I've done many things to satisfy the guild.

    for instance, at my current Master Swords guild in Caen, I probably have 1000+ guild points for that guild. destroying it is -100 i believe. that still leaves me with 900 (assuming i have 1000, and not 5000 or something), well over the 500 required.



    update:

    after scouring the board, I located it again. In Ragusa, belonging to the Pope.

    i tried doing the console command: create_building gm_swordsmiths_guild but i dont think those commands work? I could be wrong.


    So what is the best method of acquiring the HQ, now that I have located it?


    and can i destroy it completely from within a battle, or does it still have to be 'demolished' in order to move?

    These commands should work, but you have to be very precise about spelling and when there are underscores and when there are none.

    You can damage it up to 100% in a battle, but you cant destroy it completely I think, still has to be demolished by you.

    So what is the best method of acquiring the HQ, now that I have located it?
    I''d say you should cheat for the sake of simplicity.

    There is no console command for creating buildings. that is leftover code from Rome TW that was disabled and hardcoded in M2TW.

    These console commands do work in CS but not directly from the console itself. So they are not RTW leftovers since these commands can still be used in scripts.
