Default When you pull up to your game shop to pick her up...

What will you do, what will be your reactions, what will you do until Medieval 2: Total War is installed on your computer?

    Heres my story:

Pull up to the mall where EB Games is located, begin to grin but keep my composure. I will then walk into the mall wanting to run like crazy to the EB games, but not wanting to embaris myself. Even though I just called the EB Games worker and he told me that there were plenty of copies in, I will still be nervous that the game has been sold out..........and then I see it, Medieval 2 Total War.

When I hold the box I will want to run out the store not because I can't afford it but because it will take me an extra 5 minutes to buy it. So I hand the box to the clerk and he just takes his time trying to scan it, and after a long 2 minutes I give him the money and make my way back to my car.

I drive home driving very wrecklessly just because Im gazing at the box to much, when I survive the trip home I quickly run into my house, open the box, and quickly scan the book, I then put the disk in and let her install. I then prop my feet up on my desk and then slowly read every word in the book while listening to the install music ( as in RTW ). After the game has finished installing I slowly put down the book and I'm almost to nervous to click on the shortcut from exitement. I double click on the shortcut...

    Its Total War from there.

Heh...I will probably order my copy off Amazon and have to wait a week before itll come because my dad is too cheap to spring for the ovr night delivery option. I'll act stoic the entire week, only pausing to fantasize about the game for the brief moments late at night before I fall asleep. Then the day arrives when the game is on my dining room table, packages usually arrive when you least expect them. I will pick up the box and calmly go up to my room and prepare to install it. I will start playing through the campaign pausing only to alt + tab out of the game to come and comment about it on these forums.

The box and game manuals will not be read anywhere or anytime, save for when I need to go sit on the toilet.

I will probably drive 30 min to wal-mart (not a best buy or games store within an hours drive from me) and find out that it isn't even in yet, and have to wait another couple of days before I can play it. Then find out later that they had it in the back when I went the first time, they were just too lazy to put it on the shelves.

I'll do the exact same thing because where I live Wal-Mart is the place to go. All your shopping needs, only a 7000 population town. Anyways, I will go there and figure out they won't get it until the next week because they suck at ordering PC games.

I already reserved it at the Gamestop store in my town's mall. I work in the mall, so I figure I'll just scoop it up on my daily ritual... THE FIRST DAY IT COMES OUT OF COURSE!!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

First, I order a score of Turkish costumes online. Outfitting my squad with these and assorted primitive cannons and medieval swords, we ride out galliant horses across to EB Games. Storming in (making a point not to use the door, but crushing the windows with the mobile cannons) we swarm in, laying waste to all that is before us. The women will scream, the children will cry, and our battle cry will be "1453!" Darkness will fall upon the gravest of scenes, standing triumphant above the smoldering wreckage holding in my hands the ultimate sacrifice to the Gods: M2TW!

On second though, I'll just buy it.

I'm probably going to wait for a month or two after the release before I go out and buy it. Mainly because I have to upgrade or build or buy a new rig in order to run this game.

Get it in Jan-Feb in time for new rig, then play 100+ custom battles to figure out those units. I log it as well.

I've preordered it so that it arrives day of release. Hopefully it won't be a school day (fingers crossed) and that my brother goes out... somewhere... for the whole day...

Take extra long lunchbreak. Ambush clerk while he is unpacking new games. Pay. Rush back to boss. Pretend to work while monitoring the clock. Pressing f5 at the twcenter. Start packing at a quarter to fife. Get home. Kiss girlfriend while taking plastic off the casette. Ask her how her day was while marching up to pc. Shut door. Shut curtains. Block out girlfriend's sounds. Put in disk. Take out manual. Read manual while keeping an eye on the percentages. Calm my nerves as pointer goes towards fresh icon.

First, I'll uninstall every bit of RTW that is remaining on my hard drive. Then i'll hop in my car and put in the RTW music CD to get myself in the total war mood. I'll drive 5 minutes to get the gamestop or and extra 2 minutes to get to EB games depending on my mood and anxiety level. If It isn't in yet, I'll punch the clerk in the face. If it is in, I'll buy it and then punch the clerk in the face because i'm so excited and hyped up on total war adrenaline. I'll come home and let it install while sit on the toilet reading the manual. Then i'll go turtle on the world for a couple of hours. and leave only to eat or get drunk (I haven't decided if i'll go to classes that day or not).

Everyone reads game manuals on the toilet, that is the telltale sign of a true gamer.
