Random Crash in Battles

I am playing medieval 2 on steam and the computer crash automatically during battle. The crash did not show any massages. The screen went black and the power is off. My OS is window 7 and I played on Steam. I just install kingdom launcher to test some mod. Is there similar issues like that ? Thanks.

It could be heat, nothing new. when was the last time you cleaned out the case of all the dirt and dust bunnies?
It could be your power supply on the way out. Have you checked your voltages?
Does it do it in vanilla?

I opened the game and waited for like 15 minutes and there is no crash. When I started playing tutorials, it crashed.I run differnet games and it is okay. Dota2 and Shogun2 run without crashes. I will reinstall without any mods or launchers and see how its go.

if it is not a hardware issue like irishron suggested, and it is crashing at the beginning of battles only check to see if you have both onboard graphics and a discrete video card. Alot of times windows will have you using your onboard and not discrete for older games like mtw2, and that can cause crashes, should be able to adjust in your discrete video card settings.
